Caeleb Dressel Captures Eighth Gold Medal in 2024 Olympics
Fatherhood Brings Challenges to Pre-Olympic Preparation
Swaddling and Sleepless Nights Change Training Routine
Unpredictable routines, sleepless nights, and even learning to swaddle have become part of Caeleb Dressel's preparation for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Despite becoming a new father, Dressel continues to dominate the pool, capturing his eighth gold medal as the anchor of the US relay team.
"It's definitely been a different preparation phase," Dressel said. "I'm still learning how to balance everything, but I'm making it work."
Despite his personal challenges, Dressel has maintained his winning ways. In his first event in Paris, he helped the US team win gold in the men's 4x100-meter freestyle relay.
"It feels great to be back on the podium," Dressel said. "I'm excited to see what the rest of the Olympics has in store."
