Background

Aegon I Targaryen, also known as Aegon the Conqueror and Aegon the Dragon, was the founder and first king of the Targaryen dynasty. He conquered much of Westeros in a campaign known as Aegon's Conquest.

Aegon's Conquest

Aegon's Conquest began in 1 AC when Aegon and his sisters, Rhaenys and Visenya, landed in Westeros with their three dragons. They quickly conquered the kingdoms of the Reach, the Stormlands, and Dorne, establishing themselves as the dominant force in the Seven Kingdoms.

Reign as King

Once Aegon had conquered most of Westeros, he was crowned the first Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and king on the Iron Throne. He ruled for over 30 years, during which time he established the Targaryen dynasty and expanded the kingdom's boundaries.

Legacy

Aegon's legacy as Aegon the Conqueror is one of conquest and unification. He founded the Targaryen dynasty, which ruled Westeros for centuries, and established the Iron Throne as the symbol of royal power.
