Becoming host of Mastermind is a big, big job

Clive Myrie presents another heat of the classic quiz where contenders take on the famous

Clive Myrie is a busy man. As well as presenting the BBC's flagship news programme, News at Ten, he's also a regular host of Mastermind, the long-running quiz show that tests contestants' knowledge on a specialist subject.

It's a big job, and one that Myrie takes very seriously. "It's a huge honour to be asked to host Mastermind," he says. "It's one of the most iconic quiz shows in the world, and it's a real privilege to be able to be a part of it."

Myrie is a big fan of Mastermind, and he says he's always impressed by the contestants' knowledge and passion for their subjects. "They're all so different, and they all have such interesting stories to tell," he says. "It's a real privilege to be able to hear them talk about their passions."

Myrie says he's also a big fan of the show's format. "It's a very challenging quiz, but it's also very fair," he says. "The contestants are all given the same questions, and they're all given the same amount of time to answer them. It's a real test of knowledge and skill."

Myrie says he's looking forward to hosting more heats of Mastermind in the future. "It's a great show, and it's a real honour to be a part of it," he says.
